There are two ways I can recommend painting the graveyard set. First off would be:
1. Base coat in black primer. be sure everything is evenly covered with a thin layer of black paint.
2. mix up a dark gray, medium gray and light gray paints, first apply a heavy drybrush coat of dark gray, then a lighter coat of medium gray and then just hit the high points with a light gray drybrush.
3. Apply a very thin wash of sepia ink over the pieces.
4. Stipple onto areas of the stone some mossy green.
The second painting style
1.Base coat everything in platinum gray primer.
2. Wash the pieces in black ink.
3. Drybrush a light gray on the highlights.
4. Apply a very thin wash of sepia ink over the pieces.
5. Stipple onto areas of the stone some mossy green.
Thanks for the great question!

Thanks for the great question!

Thank you for a very informative answer. I am going to go with suggestion 1 for most of the project. I have gotten some intriging idea on painting marble which I will try as well. I expect to have pictures on my website in a couple months, if you'd like to see.
