Matt and I have always enjoyed the Mechanical Easter Island Heads. They were some of the first models I casted once I got the workshop up and running. When Matt saw a line of easter Island heads on the shelf it gave him some inspiration. The next day he showed up with the sketch below - A STEAM BUDDHA!

Dude.  That is awesome.   Shocked

I may have to build David Lo Pan's hideout just for fun now.

Defintely a cool concept, and i think it will go well toward making a Wierd West setting as well, especially with the steam tech walkers.

Need to have a steampunk/airship figure head to go with it.  Maybe a Prow Ram with a steamdriven rail gun.

wow...how totally cool and strange at the same time!
I picture it handing out fortunes in some weird Nippon-tech alternate reality.

I'm having visions of the steam buddha rising up and rampaging through the streets of dark future like some, well, dark future version of the stay-puft marshmallow man Cheesy

I think that the Buddha is something that would be perfect for the game Dark Age game...it looks like something that would be rampaging across the battlefields in that game...

Logical (?!?) extension of that idea--a "giant" sized steam buddha in a standing/rampaging position.  Obviously not very practical, but would be terrifically funny (to me at least).

Don't make steam-buddha angry.  You wouldn't like him when he's angry.

You will be enlightened.  Or else.....  Cheesy
