Sweet. It looks like a cockpit and boom. I assume that the troop area is going to be a pod as was suggested in the dropship thread. It has a bit of the Space: Above and Beyond look to it. I like and you can put me down for at least one.

If this could be made to have adjustable arms for carrying cargo (or at least the containers that come from AT-43, etc) that would RULE!!!!

Of course, I'm sure the little engineer in us all would find ways of doing that if it were not possible in resin.

I really like the front view. Very stream lined and menacing.  I'm curious where the landing gear are going? I would imagine it will balance a lot differently with and without the cargo pod.

I'm working on the details of the cargo mechanism but I wanted it to be rather universal. So in theory it will be able to carry a variery of "cargo" items. For example, there should be an armorcast shipping container hitting the store soon. "HINT"  Grin

I also wanted it to be easily adaptable to carry the "self burying coffin" style of pod. Plus, other cargo containers, existing palletes of crates, mobile firebase pods, a gunship crew section, and maybe even a gattling style bomb rack I been dreaming up.

So rest asured it will be very universal and easily adaptable. Especially if the final builder gets a hold of some rare earth magnets. Man I love those things...

Do you think you could squeeze a soda can in between the booms? Smiley And a cradle or frame to lay a soda can on its side would be cool.

I apologize in advance for the following criticism, I realize it's not particularly helpful or useful but it's smashing into the side of my skull trying to get out. Please feel free to ignore it, delete it and/or rake me over the coals for posting it. Smiley

Not that my opinion matters Smiley and it's probably too far along for changes, but aesthetically I think I would make the rear of cockpit/fuselage vertical rather than angled, and maybe widen the space between the booms. As it is it looks more like a sleek gunship than a cargo vessel to me.

Also the "Hind" type tandem cockpit feels a little... I don't know "been there done that" to me. Did you try any variants?

Finally the rear thrusters seem too small, have you tried it making them the same size as the forward engines?

Regardless of all that nattering I can't wait to see the finished model and I'm sure I'll be stocking up on several. Smiley

OMG--------- Everything I had hoped for!    Love the concept!   Multiple cargo pods idea is great.     Will keep the drop ship from getting "stale" !      I like the tail jets smaller than main engines.    When are the pods going to be available?
How about a contest to name the ship?   The winner gets their name on the instruction sheet for all posterity!
Keep up the great work!            Brimstone

 Cool  Contest? I missed that
I like "Mike's" look.     if the engines/wings moved like the US Marine Corps "osprey"
it would add alot to the idea of hovering/Vstol for deep striking, and shouldn't infringe on "them"
I'm betting the model will multi-castings instead of one large one. Wings could easily be "pinned" (more like dowled)
to give rotation
