Hi... I have a bit of a problem with one of the old titan Weapons.  I recently purchased one off ebay.  It looks new except for the fact that the pin that holds it together at the pivot point had been removed and shoddily replaced... no big problem to fix that.  The main issue though is that the bolt that holds it onto the titan does not fit into the hole.  It looks like the hole was drilled out but not large enough.  How would I go about fixing this so I can mount it.  I want to keep it removable with the bolts so I can switch it out between my reaver and warhound so just epoxying it into place is not an option. I need to know how to get the bolt holt to accept the bolt.

Oh yeah... I have tried the bolts from the other 7 weapons I own so it isnt a matter of an off sized bolt.  They don't fit in the weapon in question either.

Thanks for the help.

It sounds like you could just drill the hole again at the larger size or use a smaller bolt.

It looks like the hole is not threaded to accept the bolt.  Would it just be a matter of drilling it out a little and forcefully screwing  bolt into it?  Or would I need another type of bit ti set in the threads to accept the bolt.

Thanks.

Im not 110% shure where you are at with this project (I have 2 very worn pinjoints I need to tend to myself). But my sudjestion is to bypass the elbow joint entirely if you can. Set it in place using a screw (that should give you some rotation) and instead attach the arms via Earthmagnets. That way switching out weapons is not nearly such a pain and the titan will breakdown for easy storage. The lips on the titan weapon limbs will prevent a "slip" and the earth magnets are strong enough.

That is a secondary idea I had been thinging about .  I am not quite sure what size I need to use though to make them hold up.  I am looking at using something strong enough to hold weapons  on both a Reaver where the two weapons are underslung, and a warhound where they are side mounted and have them interchangable between the two.  Do you think that I could get away with one large disc magnet, or would I be looking mor at doing an array of 2 magnets at opisite ends of the mounting section to keep it from tipping at the pivot point on the warhound.  Being able to switch them out is very important on this project.

Just for the record the threads in tthe Titans are all 1/4" x 20. Its possible (but unlikely) that the hole did not get tapped.
