Bubbles & Mold Tear-outs

Hi All,
I'm trying to fix the two problems in resin models (armorcast too.) I often find bubbles in sharp edges of the casting or even destroying a corner. At other times I find a piece of a silicon mold wedged in a tight spot in the casting. Or worse, I have bumps where there is a void in the mold due to a tear-out. I'm wondering what more experienced resin modelers have used to fix this problem?
So far the methods I know of are: small pits can be filled with baking soda and superglue, Larger ones with a machinable epoxy putty (example: Milliput gray), tear outs are carving away by x-acto knife or a foredom/dremel (and hope I don't go too far in) and simply disguise the defect as battle damage.
The other problem I have to deal with is I have a LasCannon with a warped barrel. I'm thinking of putting it in hot tap water 120 degrees F and then bending it slightly to a straight line.
Any suggestions would be highly appreciated.
Thanks in Advance,
Keith
p.s. Would this be a good subject for the FAQ section?

Hello Keith,
I will add some of the Q & A to the FAQ section.
Warpage, hot water can work as well as a hair drier works wonders to warm up the resin and make it pliable. Then you can bend the piece back into shape and set it in cool water to "freeze" the shape.
Filling resin voids I like using super glue gel and zip kicker or epoxy putty like Procreate. DO NOT USE BAKING SODA! It can release harmful gases when mixing with the superglue. Also humidity plays havoc on the mix as well and it will turn soft and gooey over time. You can also use microballoons found at Hobbyshops or RC stores. It is a light weight sandable filler.
