First congratulations for the coming back i wish armorcast best of luck in the future.

This year im working with one of your old back catalogue titans and i must say that on some of the hobby comunities i attend to some users are curious on were to get this titan.
Can we espect to see these old titans in the future here at online store?  Smiley

Really not sure if i can post my work in progress here since its not terrain but a titan, if you feel this is not the place to show
my titan convertion be free to erase this and sorry for the any trouble caused.

have acepted, last year, my most challenging commission work so far,
a very old and hard to get Armourcast Eldar Phantom Titan,
one of the biggest fellas i have ever seen (about 36cm tall) and my job
is to cover him by sculpting details on it .

One of the main problems is that he is so huge im going
to spend GS like crazy on this, but im quite exited with this crazy project, it will be a slow project
due to its gigantic dimensions and hard one to pull off right
but i will have lots of fun doing it.

time for pics...
By the end of january of 2007 i received this
http://img341.imageshack.us/img341/6176/boxer8.jpg

http://img341.imageshack.us/img341/1577/titaninboxsf8.jpg

opened it and displayed on the floor ( note that the grey dot near
his head is a genestealer miniature and he is there for scale prespective)
http://img341.imageshack.us/img341/7369/titanwj5.jpg

and finnaly a sketch i did for one of the shoulder pads
http://img341.imageshack.us/img341/9378/ph...shoulderom9.jpg

I also been sculpting this for some time and finnished both
shoulder pads and torso.

Here we go, just took some wip pictures of torso and shoulder pads, as far as im concerned torso and shoulders are finished torso front
http://img217.imageshack.us/img217/7096/torsofrontej5.jpg

Torso right shoulder
http://img217.imageshack.us/img217/4218/torsorightshouldermv8.jpg

Torso left shoulder

Torso Back
http://img217.imageshack.us/img217/8288/torsobackak6.jpg

a couple more torso pics
http://img217.imageshack.us/img217/6272/torsopanoramicview2hh2.jpg

and
http://img217.imageshack.us/img217/1343/torsopanoramicview1fm6.jpg

Wip pics of titan fully assembled (note that im starting to change overall positioning of mini, probably will bend front right leg to make it less stactic mini)
http://img217.imageshack.us/img217/6544/titantorsowip3sc3.jpg

http://img217.imageshack.us/img217/1820/titantorsowip2or3.jpg

http://img217.imageshack.us/img217/2704/titantorsowip1na9.jpg

concept wise i opted not to put lots of hearts and instead one big one on shoulder pad also armour ornaments bends a bit with spicky vines idea ( even if diferent from the real deal on shoulder pad)

still a long road ahead with head, fins, legs and arms.

These old titans are full of potential and can really be the centerpiece of a army, loving working with it and im going to check your current terrain since this big fella needs a big display base.

Cheers and as soon i sculpt more i will update this thread.

Awesome work! Definitely keep us posted.
The Titans from the 90s are a part of Armorcast's history so I think your WIP shots are perfectly appropriate for this section (and much appreciated I might add). I'll post pics of the Reaver i did back in 05. This folder is for any Armorcast stuff, Past or present. And the Titans and tanks from that era are more than wlcome here. Unfortunately they are gone for good.
However, Tim is still doing the BattleTech Mechs here:

And if Giant Fighting Robots are your thing, Gin and I are big Anime fans and are beginning to develop the preliminary sketches for some big Mecha with more of a Japanese flair

That's incredible, NAVARRO! Shocked

I've got one of the old Warhound titans on the way, have been thinking of doing it up with green stuff as a Nurgle/Death Guard titan, but I doubt I'd be able to reach your level of craftsmanship with the GS.

Can't wait to see your further work on the titan!

Im very curious to see now the new incoming Mechas your developing on armorcast.

and a small update here i just did a quick draw of the concept for titans back fins...

http://img522.imageshack.us/img522/7296/backfinsconceptxf3.jpg

each fin half will be decorated like this if client aproves, the other inner half will remain like the original untouched...

If any of those turn out like the 70's Go Ngai "Shogun Warriors" robots, I may have donate a kidney.  I'm pretty sure I'm ok with that.....

@Navarro: that is some fantastic work with the GS...hat takes a lot of patience and talent to be able to sculpt that stuff to that level of quality...being a painter and an artist, I appreciate that level of dedication to detail and quality, as well as how close the final product looks to the concept art (I know that pic didn't come up, but I saw the concept art for the back fins, so I have no doubt that the torso art was just as detailed)...

I might have to agree with you...I still have all 5 of mine back at my parent's house, but I'm sure that they are all torn up by now...

On second thought, it would be best if that never happend.  If I started collecting something else, I'd be in real trouble at home.  As it is, I can sneak all my soon-to-be armorcast purchases into my existing terrain stash/bitz hoard.  If I started lining shogun warriors up along the walls, that'd be less easy to disguise Smiley

Phenomenal GS work--keep the pictures coming as you complete more areas!

Very nice work! Holy cow! (and I do mean cow) The $$$ on this piece was rather amazing when these kits were new.  I can't imagine the value of this when it is completed.

Hey, I'm with shenlung, if Armorcast starts producing Anime/"Shogun Warrior" looking robots I will buy lots. The Battle Tech/mech catagory is already taken care of. Let's start making 6-7 inch tall robots in the style of Mazinga/ Gaiking.

6-7 inches? I was thinking more like 1-2 feet.

1-2 ft? Armorcast is going to make its own line of Jumbo Machinder?

More or less, They'll be in our resin, not the usual vinyl or polyethylene. This is more like late 2008. We're still in the design faze, fase, fays, WOW! I totally forgot how to spell phase.

Sorry, I fainted when I read the 1-2 foot tall comment.

Yes, late 2008 would be much better.  I have sufficient time to warn the wife that this is coming Cheesy

But honey, it's an investment in the boys' future!  What kid wouldn't want a giant robot?
(nevermind that they're mine and they won't touch them until I'm dead.....)

Ok time for a small update to get you guys know whats happening to titan.

Both back fins are 90% sculpted i only need to add hundreds of spikes to the vines on both ( these spikes alone are giving me nightmares they are just soooo many so tiny)

in fact i was taking some shots of my workplace and you can check out one of the fins wip there...

http://img155.imageshack.us/img155/3962/workplace2ib1.jpg

i have done a concept sketch for arms (simple stuff) and before i showed client for aproval i sculpted them when spikes were curing
I just hope he likes them, its really simple stuff... my idea is not to make lots of details on ALL parts, this way mini more interesting and no so busy and boring.

i hope to take official pics soon when all done with spikes, lets just hope i dont go nuts doing them...

Still a wip pic of both of the fins but added arms and if you notice theres some spikes already on left fin in first 2 bigger bones...
I will take better pictures, with details and all, when these are finished so for now just general pics to show how they look in the overall...
